About Margaret

AquaTerres is founded and operated by Margaret Bowen.

My experience started back in 1996 volunteering at a local zoo. I spent 4 years volunteering, cleaning up after the animals, and educating the public about them. My time spent there made me realize how much passion I had for the animal field. I have an A.S. in Zoo Animal Science Technology from Sante Fe Community College Teaching Zoo in Gainesville, FL and a B.S. in zoology from Oswego State University in Oswego, NY. Since graduating I have worked as a Corporate Trainer, Vet Tech, Wildlife Rehabilitator, Zookeeper, Zoo Registrar, and Zoo Curator.

After 25 years in that career, life changes, and my desire to be back home on the farm, I started a new career in real estate as well as running AquaTerres. This gave me the opportunity to continue providing quality animal care to my community and be involved with various and diverse projects. AquaTerres is what I call "leveled up" pet sitting. I am here to help families with critical care pets, homesteads, farms and exotic pets be able to leave home knowing their animals are getting the proper care and husbandry management that they require.

Have peace of mind when you have to leave your animals at home for any amount of time. Know that I will provide quality care for all of your animals including administering medications, providing the correct nutrition and providing much needed enrichment. "It's like pet sitting, but leveled up."
