Northern Illinois Raptor Rehab & Education is a 501(c)3 non-profit, volunteer run, Federal & State licensed organization dedicated to rehabilitation of injured, sick and orphaned birds of prey with the goal of returning healthy birds back to the wild. We also focus on educating the public about wildlife, conservation, ecology and habitats in the forum of utilizing "live" birds of prey and other biological tools. We are located in Northern Illinois, just 10 miles from the Wisconsin border, in Loves Park.
-
We accept and/or rescue injured, sick and orphaned birds of prey, provide a safe haven and the best care possible while healing takes place and then returning them back to the wild. Veterinarian assistance may also be obtained for diagnostic studies and/or medical treatment if necessary.
-
We offer “live” birds of prey education programs for various groups, organizations, festivals, scouts, and others who desire to promote education and understanding of raptors, their natural history, habitats and the roles they play in nature and in our lives.
-
We offer sponsorship for any of our educational birds.Click here for sponsorship information, pictures and a brief history of our ambassadors. Sponsorship is also a great gift idea.
