01 Welcome!

Hello November! Embrace the cozy vibes, autumn leaves, and the gratitude in the air. Welcome to the 3rd volume of Neighboorhood Niche! My goal is to provide local information in an educational and entertaining way.
A little bit about me: I am a real estate agent, animal care specialist, Xennial living in the Midwest. Read more about my background here.
There are a ton of local events going on in the Northern IL/Southern WI area it's hard to keep up. Here's a link to my events and shenanigans calendar if you want a quick peek on what's going on the state-line.
02 Local Resources!

Here is my current list of local businesses/organizations. If you would like to be added to my list feel free reach out. Current information includes mortgage lenders, attorneys, home inspectors, radon testers, contractors, cleaning services, painting, landscaping, movers/storage, notary, business resources, photographers/art studios, website design, financial advisors, marketing/networking consultants, insurance/health care/after care, farm/large equipment businesses, local small businesses, and non-profits. This current list does not currently include as many animal care services as I would like (my network for that is quite large and will take some time to put together) but you can reach out to me for information.
03 Neighborhood Niche Spot Light!

This issue spotlights the reasons why the small towns, farms and homesteads of Northern IL are where I focus most of my work. Click here for the video.
04 Day in the life of...

I'm hoping to create a consistent "blog" that people will actually care about and be entertained by. Random thoughts, toilsome challenges, panegyrical stories, links to videos and other shenanigans is what you can expect in this section.
Random Thoughts: If a woodchuck could chuck wood, how much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood.
October was full of fun events, and I'm enjoying a short break before all the holiday events start up. If you are thinking about traveling this season without your pets, make sure to book your boarding facility/pet-sitter now.
Here's some highlights from the past month.
Toilsome Challenges: My biggest challenge recently is making sure to prioritize my time appropriately. ADHD can be a super power and a bit of a hindrance at the same time. I can be super productive and get a lot done when I'm avoiding the task I should be really concentrating on:)
Panegyrical Stories: Happy to say that I'm getting a filled up schedule for AquaTerres (pet sitting season is coming) and I've got a listing and a pending sale. The real estate market is a little nuts right now, but that's the way it's been since I started 3 years ago. We still need more inventory, so sellers, holler at me :)
Links to Shenanigans: Right now TikTok is my main avenue of random video entertainment. Enjoy! (Click Here :)
