01 Welcome!
Jubilant January!

January, ushering in a fresh start and a new chapter in the book of the year. Welcome to the 5th volume of Neighborhood Niche! My goal is to provide local information in an educational and entertaining way.
A little about me: I am a real estate agent, animal care specialist, Xennial living in the Midwest. Read more about my background here.

There are a ton of local events going on in the Northern IL/Southern WI area. Here's a link to my shenanigans calendar if you want a quick peek on what's going on in the state-line.
02 Local Resources!

Current information includes real estate transaction resources, photographers/art studios, website marketing and and networking consultants, financial advisors, insurance/health care/after care, local businesses and non-profits. New contacts are always being added or you can reach out to me if you have a specific need.

04 Day in the life of...

Random thoughts, toilsome challenges, panegyrical stories, links to videos and other shenanigans is what you can expect in this section :)
Random Thoughts:
Happy New year! New year's resolutions are flying around the ether. Whether you have decided to make one or ignore it may this time bring you a feeling of excitement for new adventures. I'm looking forward to presenting some new educational classes on real estate and animal care issues.
December was full of cozy times at home, hanging out with some of my favorite AquaTerres Clients, closing on a house with an awesome couple, and ringing in the new year with some of my best friends!
The first snow of the year gave me a great opportunity to video "Smokey" my cat reacting in a hilarious way!
Toilsome Challenges:
More organization and prioritization. This is always a recurring challenge for me. Dealing with ADHD and chronic depression makes it difficult to stay organized and motivated. I work through it by bouncing idea's off of friends and colleagues, keeping a "to do" list on my calendar and being kind to myself.
Panegyrical Stories:
I've been getting some great feedback from my real estate and AquaTerres clients. It's been awesome to know that the hard work I've been putting into both businesses has been appreciated!
